H.E. the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was hosted by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research on Thursday, 11/11/2021, at the center's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, to give Participants of the 9th National Defence Course, 2021-2022 an overview of the history of relations between the UAE and the Republic of Pakistan.
H.E. Ambassador Afzal Mahmoud delivered a lecture titled "Pakistan and the Middle East's Gains from Peace in Afghanistan" at the center where he was hosted. The lecture shed light on the two countries' historical relations as well as the impact of the Afghan conflict on Pakistan, which lasted nearly 40 years.
The lecture was attended by a number of faculty members and college staff, along with participants of the 9th national defence course.
