A new Activity during the NDC Sports Day

The National Defence College has conducted its sports day "racewalking" on Wednesday morning, 28 October 2020 for the 8th NDC Course participants 2020-2021, the faculty members and staff. The sports day aims to bring entertainment, fun, and competition to the NDC participants as such events contributes to strengthening the ties and communication between leaders, officers, other ranks, and the NDC participants.

 The racewalking marathon contest began in the early morning at Hadiriat Island in Abu Dhabi city between the males team and the females team for 7 km of racewalking. The activity was conducted under all COVID -19 precautionary measures and procedures including checking the temperature of the participants, social distancing during the event, and wearing facemasks and gloves.

At the end of the event, Brigadier General Staff Pilot Salim Saeed Al Shamsi honored the top three of both teams. To ensure   compliance with precautionary instructions, the participants left the area directly after closing the event.
