His Excellency Major General Rashad Mohammed Al Saadi, Commandant of the National Defence College received Admiral Dirin Wig, Deputy Commandant of the National Defence College of the Republic of India, and his delegation of students on Tuesday, 27 August 2019. The visiting delegation was received by the NDC Deputy Commandant and wing commanders. The visit was commenced with a group photo in front of a college building followed by a meeting between the NDC Commandant and the delegation head. After thanking the delegation for this friendly visit to explore NDC, the NDC Commandant discussed the latest issues at the regional and international levels.

The meeting was followed by a brief about NDC presented by Col. Eng. Dr. Salim Alkaabi exploring the college academic history since inception until this 7th NDC Course. The brief also explored the vision and mission of the NDC in addition to the objectives of the NDC Course dedicated for both civilian and military participants. The briefing also highlighted the main NDC wings and departments most importantly the Education Wing being the wing assigned to deliver education following the NDC curriculum.

The briefing was followed by an open discussion where wing commanders answered the questions of the delegation.

Admiral Derin Weg the delegation head then signed the NDC guest book and expressed his gratitude to NDC for the hospitality and warm welcome of the college leadership and management. Gifts were exchanged at the end of the visit.

In a special farewell remark made by the National Defence College to its visiting delegation, His Excellency Major General Rashad Mohammed Al Saadi, NDC Commandant, presented to the delegation a commemorative photo which was taken at the beginning of the visit in front of the college entrance.
