NDC’s Supreme Council holds its first meeting for 2021

H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, presided the meeting of NDC’s Supreme Council on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021, at the college, in the presence of Their Excellencies, members of the NDC Supreme Council.
The council began its first session for 2021 with a message by H.E. the Minister of State for Defence Affairs, in which he welcomed the members and praised their efforts to enhance the council's work and stimulate its role through the proposals discussed and formulated to push the NDC's institutional work forward towards the achievement and excellence.

The council reviewed the outcomes of the previous meeting, held on October 28th, 2020, on its agenda, and addressed what was recommended during the previous meeting.

The Supreme Council discussed on its agenda the critical issues of the 8th National Defence Course (2020-2021) and the coming 9th Course (2020-2022).

During the meeting, the council also discussed the international and regional visits conducted by the college during the 8th National Defence Course following the NDC guidelines and recommendations. It also discussed the NDC short courses and strategic partnerships with other national bodies and authorities.

At the end of the meeting, crucial recommendations were suggested by the members of the council to enhance the role of the NDC in developing its members’ strategic and security thinking.
