Joshua Snider, Ph.D. ASSISTANT Professor

Dr. Snider’s research focusses broadly on questions related to terrorism and political violence in South and Southeast Asia, and in particular state responses to religiously-motivated extremism and the governance of counter-radicalisation programmes. Over the last 10 years he has taught broadly across many sub-fields of international security at various universities in North America, Australia and most recently in Malaysia where he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham’s Malaysia campus in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to the academy he held positions with Canada’s Department of International Affairs and International Trade and in the public affairs consulting industry.
