Research at the NDC is defined as the systematic investigation and contribution to the intellectual body of knowledge undertaken by NDC researchers in order to enhance the understanding of theories, methods, and information concerning the field of strategic security studies and related fields.

NDC research aims to generate initiatives that encourage both military and civilian leaders to serve as strategic leaders who can effectively shape and implement policy and develop appropriate strategies in support of national security objectives.
