The National Defence College was awarded the institutional and academic accreditation for its NDC Course Program and the Masters' Degree Program in Strategic and Security Studies in 2013. Since its inception in August 2012, NDC has been placed among the academically well-reputed colleges. NDC now is one of the internationally unique colleges that can issue degrees for its course programs without partnering with any other supporting entities.
The National Defence College has been keen to lay down and apply high-quality academic standards that have been confirmed by its quality outcomes since its first academic year. This has placed NDC as a unique military academic institution in UAE and has urged NDC to attract distinguished and highly qualified faculty members and outstanding professional participants from military and civil leadership at the national level.
Today, this NDC status has been supported by the approval of the Commission for Academic Accreditation on renewing the academic accreditation of the Master's Program in Strategic and Security Studies for the next five years until September 202 based on the college's compliance with licensing and accreditation criteria associated with the program. Moreover, NDC has granted the academic accreditation of its Higher Diploma Program in Security and Strategic Studies. This is a catalyst that will bolster the college towards more success and launch quality programs that support strategic thinking, researching and conducting studies in support of national security and its requirements under the current and future challenges.
With this achievement, NDC has demonstrated its critical role at the national level, its remarkable ability to accomplish its mission and achieve its vision of becoming a world-leading college in developing strategic thinking and a key source of strategic and security studies.
In celebrating this achievement, His Excellency Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Alsa'adi, the NDC Commandant honored on Sunday morning, 11 October 2020 the team who diligently worked on achieving this academic accreditation in collaboration with all the NDC wings and departments. The honored team was H.E. the NDC Deputy Commandant, the NDC Dean, and a number of NDC faculty members and staff.
