His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received in his palace in Abu Dhabi the NDC delegation led by Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Salim Al Saadi, the NDC Commandant. During the meeting, H.H. the Minister stressed the importance of the College in developing military leaders who work for the country and protect its human and material resources to ensure its integrity, security and stability. “The UAE and its people are having the utmost focus of His HighnessSheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and his brothers, members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces“ he said. He added that “The creationof the College is a translation of the of the wise leadership’s vision that predicts the future of the government and continuously works for protecting the secuirty and the welfare of its people and safeguarding the gains achieved in various fields so far .” His Highness was briefed by Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Al Saadi about the mission and curriculum of the National Defense College as well as its goals of developing military and civilian leaders and raising capacity to identify and assess the challenges of national, regional and international security and understanding the fundamentals and management requirementsof state’s resources to protect national interests. The visit came as an implementation of introducing the newly established college .
