As part of the Strategy Course plan, the NDC course participants paid a field visit to al Fujairah Naval Base (FNB) on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 with the aim of enabling student participants to explore the strategic importance of the UAE’s east coast and to study the idea of creating oil storage facilities for exporting oil through Al Fujairah Seaport. Moreover, the visit offered student participants the opportunity to examine the functions and duties of the Naval Base and its role in defending oil facilities within its assigned area of responsibility
