On October 23, 2013, the NDC hosted H.E. Michael Corbin, Ambassador of the United States to the UAE who had an opening dialogue with the course participants from 12:30 to 14:00 p.m. The dialogue focused on few issues including the changing strategic environment and the distinguished relations and fields of cooperation between the two countries. His Excellency pointed out that the basic functions of the U.S Embassy in the UAE are to boost trade exchange and build strategic military relations between the two countries, support the UAE to fulfill its objectives at the domestic level, defend the U.S national security, promote regional security, and provide human and material resources to help the embassy perform its duties. At the end of the session, H.E. the Ambassador answered the questions of the participants.
