UAEU Vice Chancellor: “Islamic Movements Aim's at Fraying the Social Fabric and Creating a Schism Between the State and its People”.

Accompanied by H.E. Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research ,H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi UAEU Vice Chancellor paid a visit to UAE NDC on 30 April ,2015 to deliver a lecture on Islamic Movements in UAE and the Arab region .He addressed this topic by talking about the history of these movements in UAE and GCC region, their ways of unraveling the cohesion of civil societies, the impact of these movements on national security, and finally the UAE strategy for eliminating such movements. In raising the awareness about the threat such movements pose to any nation, H.E. explored the ways such movements use to lure the youth and to influence state’s apparatuses such as education and legislation .The state’s strategic role in fighting these movements has been explored. Discussion was effective tackling the future strategy of the state in instilling Wasatiyyah of Islam, and the relation between such movements and the current events in the Arab region.
