On the morning of Monday, August 25, 2025, Major General Staff Issa Rashid Al Mheiri, Commandant of the National Defence College, inaugurated the 13th National Defence Course for the academic year 2025-2026, in the presence of Wing Commanders, faculty members, and the new participants.

In his address on this occasion, the Commandant of the College congratulated the participants on the start of the new academic year and the inauguration of the 13th course, welcoming them to the National Defence College and wishing them a distinguished academic year. He highlighted the significant role the National Defence College has played, from its inception to the present day, in developing the capabilities of military and civilian leaders and enhancing their leadership skills in understanding the foundations and requirements of resource management and the protection of national interests.

He explained that joining this course is a golden opportunity to acquire this specialized knowledge and skills, as this new knowledge will contribute to linking their national values with contemporary challenges, in addition to enabling them to assess developments, define ends, and determine the means to achieve higher national objectives.

The Commandant of the College also clarified that the National Defence Course will undoubtedly allow its participants to learn about the elements and pillars of national security and the strategic tools to achieve them. In addition, the course plays a role in developing their research and analysis capabilities and enhancing their dialogue skills, in accordance with the best practical applications and global academic standards.

At the conclusion of his welcoming remarks to the participants of the 13th National Defense Course (2025-2026), Major General Staff Issa Rashid Al Muhairi, Commandant of the National Defense College, urged the new participants to persevere and uphold a spirit of responsibility and discipline. He pointed out that this stage represents the cornerstone of their professional future in serving their country. To commemorate the opening moments, a group photo was taken of the College Commandant with the participants of the 13th course, in the presence of the Wing Commanders and the College's faculty members.

It is noteworthy that the National Defense College has completed its preparations for the launch of the new course and the reception of its new participants. This was done according to an organizational program that takes into account the needs of the course and the requirements of its academic curriculum, reflecting the College's readiness and preparedness for the launch of the 13th National Defense Course.
