Major General Staff Pilot / Salem Saeed Harmal Al Shamsi, Commandant of the National Defence College, witnessed the annual ceremony for the delivery of master's degrees and higher diplomas for the 10th national defence course 2022-2023 on Monday, 19/6/2023, at the college's headquarters.

The ceremony, which was attended by both retired former leaders of the National Defence College, His Excellency Lieutenant General Pilot / Eng. Rashad Mohammed Al-Saadi, and His Excellency Major General / M Oqab Shaheen Al-Ali, began with the playing of the national anthem of the UAE and then verses from the Holy Quran, after which the Commandant of the College delivered his speech on the occasion of the ceremony, in which he expressed the end of the journey of seriousness and work, which concludes its last stop today, as he began his speech with: "Today brings us together another ceremony to complete our academic year, which we started yesterday, and we conclude its last stop today with the distribution of master's degrees."

He explained that the college has completed a decade since the beginning of its first academic session in 2013 at the end of the 10th session, and as it completes this decade of success and continuity, it completes a journey full of achievements achieved by those who led it from the beginning of its inception to this day, those leaders who sincerely sought to take over the management of their tasks and move them forward towards development, modernization, accompaniment and continuity for the better.

Major General Staff Pilot Salem Al Shamsi also thanked the faculty for their real and commendable efforts in pushing the educational process towards excellence, saying: "The achievements and gains of the National Defence College would not have been achieved without the real efforts of the teaching staff, which is the cornerstone and the main pillar in these achievements, what has been achieved during the past ten years and the scientific status obtained by the National Defence College testifies to the active role of this body and the extent of its sincerity in its tasks."

In conclusion, the Commandant of the College congratulated the graduates of the 10th national defence course 2022-2023, wishing them continued progress and success, hoping that they will continue to acquire new in the world of changes, and always be keen to work for the country and dedication to serving it and serving its wise leadership.

Then Dr. Daniel Baltrositis, Dean of the National Defence College, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and praised the efforts they made during their academic studies at the college, and praised the cooperation that was between them and their real desire that motivated them to achieve, maintain and continue until this important stage, which is the stage of coronation, conclusion and honor.

Then the graduate, Eng. Ali Hamdan Al-Kaabi, who holds honors for the capstone project, delivered the speech of the graduates of the 10th national defence course, followed by the speech of the President of the Alumni Council for the previous sessions. After that, the sponsor of the ceremony, the Commandant of the National Defence College, accompanied by the Dean of the College, distributed master's certificates and higher diplomas to the graduates and honored the distinguished, after which the graduates presented a memorial gift to the sponsor of the ceremony in thanks and gratitude from them for the support and assistance they felt from the National Defence College with all its teaching and administrative staff during their time in it.

In conclusion, the memorial photo taken from the hall of the master's and higher diploma ceremony was the end of the academic journey of the 10th national defence course 2022-2023.
