National Defence College Hosts the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces

The National Defence College hosted His Excellency Lieutenant General Engineer Issa bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to deliver a lecture on "The Strategic Vision for National Defence and Security Infrastructure Management." His Excellency was received by Major General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, Commandant of the College, and his advisors.
In his lecture, attended by wing commanders, the national faculty, and the participants of the 13th National Defence Course, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces addressed the current security environment of the United Arab Emirates, examining a number of concepts encompassed by this term, including regional and global security threats and risks.
His Excellency explained that traditional definitions of the security environment are no longer as they once were; rather, the concept has evolved into a dynamic and continually evolving framework, shaped by a range of influences, including geographical, economic, and other relevant factors. 
The visit of His Excellency the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces to the National Defence College comes within the framework of the annual program through which His Excellency meets with the participants of the National Defence Course, as well as to gain closer insight into the progress of the course, which brings together military and civilian leaders from various national entities.
The lecture delivered by His Excellency Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Mohammed bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, concluded with a discussion session during which participants raised a number of questions related to the theme of the lecture.
