The National Defence College received H.E. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, to deliver a lecture entitled “The Economic Policy of the United Arab Emirates,” attended by a number of the College’s officers, the faculty, and participants of the 13th National Defence Course.
During the lecture, H.E. reviewed the UAE’s national economic vision and highlighted the key pillars upon which the national economy is founded, in addition to the strategies adopted to enhance economic diversification, support innovation, attract investments, and achieve sustainable development in line with global economic changes.
H.E. the Minister of Economy and Tourism emphasized the UAE's continuous initiatives, backed by its astute leadership, to enhance the national economy and bolster all supporting systems to adapt to the shifts and changes in the global economic environment, while striving to establish the UAE's economy as a global benchmark to be followed.
At the conclusion of the lecture, H.E. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri delivered an in-depth presentation highlighting his leadership and practical experience, as well as the strategic vision driving the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. H.E. then responded to questions from participants of the 13th National Defence Course.
It is worth noting that, as part of the National Defence Course curriculum, the National Defence College organizes such meetings to highlight the vital role of ministries and government entities in achieving national visions and strengthening national security. These engagements also enhance cooperation between academic institutions and government leadership, while linking theoretical study with leading national expertise to achieve both academic and practical value.
