The National Defence College hosted His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, to deliver a lecture on "The UAE's Strategy in the Field of Climate Change, Environmental Protection, Food and Water Security" on Friday, September 15th 2023. Where His Excellency was received by Major General Salem Saeed bin Harmal Al Shamsi, Commander of the National Defence College and the leaders of the college's wings.
The lecture, which was attended by participants of the 11th national defence course 2023-2024, aims to inform them about the UAE's strategy in the field of climate change, environmental protection, food and water security, as climate change and food and water security are among the most important environmental issues at the national and global levels, given the environmental, economic and social risks these changes entail.
The lecture highlighted the efforts made by the UAE in preserving the environment with all its vital elements and components, sustainable solutions to confront the collapse of these changes, ways to contain them and methods of adapting to their potential impacts on all ecosystems and various sectors in the country.
