On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the National Defence College welcomed a visiting delegation from the National Defence College of the Republic of India. The delegation was led by Major General Samarth Nagar of the Indian Armed Forces, who was accompanied by a number of officers and additional officers from friendly nations.
The visitors were received by Major General Staff Essa Rashed Obaid Almehiri, Commandant of the National Defence College, along with the Commandant’s advisors.
The visit began with a group photo and a welcoming ceremony for the delegation. This was followed by a video presentation about the National Defence College and its academic program, along with a briefing on the College delivered by Senior Civilian Mohammed Khalfan Al Mehairbi (Special Grade B).
After the presentation, a joint discussion session was held between the two sides to address key topics, questions, and to exchange views on areas of mutual interest. The delegation then continued their visit with a tour of some of the College's facilities, including the participants’ syndicates and the library, where they were briefed on the modern and advanced technologies these facilities contain.
The visit by the Indian National Defence College delegation aims to provide a closer look at the educational and training programs of the UAE's National Defence College and to explore aspects of joint cooperation between the two institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, the head of the delegation signed the visitors’ book of the College, after which the two parties exchanged commemorative gifts.
