The Minister of Economy Delivers a Lecture to Participants of the 10th NDC 2022-2023

The National Defence College hosted His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, to deliver a lecture entitled "The Economic Policy and Strategy of the UAE" on Wednesday, January 1st, 2023.

His Excellency was received by Major General Oqab Shaheen Al-Ali, Commander of the National Defence College, and the leaders of the college's wings.

His Excellency the Minister of Economy began the lecture by thanking the National Defence College for hosting and providing the opportunity to meet with the members of the 10th national defence course 2022-2023 and highlight with them the country's economy and the progress it has achieved in this field.

At the beginning of his lecture, His Excellency stressed that the UAE economy continues to progress in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership and the principles of the fifty, as its economy was able to maintain the pace of progress in the business, programs and projects developed and studied to achieve significant growth in various sectors, as the Ministry's efforts sought to focus on diversification as a key pillar to ensure sustainability and continuity, thus the UAE took the lead at the global level in many development and economic indicators, and ranked in the advanced ranks globally in attracting talents and tourists, and attracting direct foreign investment, and other indicators of performance and economic competitiveness.

His Excellency the Minister of Economy added that our national economy was able to provide an advanced model in sustainable development, which enhanced the reputation and position of the country as the capital of economy, finance and business, and a global destination for entrepreneurial projects.

At the end of the lecture of His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy on the strategic economic policy of the UAE, he explained that the country witnessed the launch of many “fifty” projects that represented a new cycle of national strategic projects, as these projects will contribute over the coming years to the launch of a new phase of internal and external growth of the country, which will contribute to the development of the existing economic model to be more flexible, sustainable and keep pace with future trends, and efforts will continue to develop our national economy to serve the business environment and provide enablers.
