On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the National Defence College hosted His Excellency Khalifa bin Shaheen Almarar, Minister of State, to deliver a lecture titled "The UAE's Policy and Strategy for International Relations and Cooperation." The event was held at the College headquarters and attended by advisors to the College Commandant, faculty members, and participants of the 13th National Defence Course.

At the beginning of his lecture, H.E. the Minister explained that the UAE's foreign policy is based on the core national objectives of the 'Principles of the 50,' established by the wise leadership. He highlighted the most important of these, which are continuously strengthening the foundations and pillars of the state, developing the national economy to be one of the most competitive in the world, and advancing human development with human capital being the primary foundation for development in all fields.

His Excellency clarified that the UAE's foreign policy is characterized by openness to the world and the building of strategic partnerships in various fields. He noted that this policy operates within a challenging and ever-changing international and regional environment, which necessitates the development of countermeasures. These measures include strengthening the nation-state by reinforcing the security system and ensuring the state's control over all its territories and agencies.

Through its efforts to establish international partnerships and build multilateral relations, the wise leadership works to bridge the gap between conflicting parties. The UAE believes that supporting local, regional, and global stability and peace is essential for achieving development and prosperity for all parties and peoples.
